While the controversial competitive sale between “A Separation” and “Outcasts III” still goes on in the artistic and non-artistic circles, it seems that it is so important matter for some in the governing body to the point that even the Police forces have got involved in this affair.
Regarding this point, it seems that this has become a matter of dignity within the system. According to news received by Radio Koocheh, and confirmed by a source in the police who preferred not to be named, since Saturday April 20, commanded by the Chief of Police, himself, Gen. Ahmadimoghadam, all police units must watch the movie “Outcasts III”.
The Police has paid for all the tickets. Thus, according to the number of staff members on duty in Greater Tehran Area GTA, the police has allocated a colossal budget to this matter.
This order seems to be sent to other provinces.
A Police officer working in a police station confirmed this news and reported to Radio Koocheh:
“On Monday, they announced at the station that a group of soldiers on duty will be deployed to the police headquarters. They also announced prior to the deployment that officers are allowed to wear plain clothes instead of uniforms. Then we were deployed to Cinema Shokoofeh located in Martyrs Square, by buses to watch the movie ”Outcasts III”.
Another police officer that Radio Koocheh contacted, also confirmed the news and said that when some officers said that they were not ready to watch the movie, they were threatened to be arrested and the commander emphasized that: “The is the order of “The Chief Commander of Police Forces” himself and wrongdoers will be dealt with. ” This officer also stated that they served lunch and even pre-packed snacks. He continued: “Some forces are also watching that no one is absent.”
Earlier, on April 11th, the web site Tabnak which apparently belongs to Mohsen Rezae, had said that nearly a thousand of disabled and soldiers protesting against the illegal distribution of the movie “Outcasts III” went to see the movie and Mohsen Rezae in person has joined them. These people were invited to the special screening of this movie. An informer said that the cost of this private screening in cinemas Africa in Tehran was already been paid by an unnamed group.
