Since “Mahmoud Ahmadinejad” was announced President of Iran with 24 million votes under Iranian nation’s consternation until now, the head of the tenth government mismanagement has been drowning the country in successive domestic and international crises, but the overall security policy of the tenth Government has always been quite stable.  Ahmadinejad’s Government, in the international arena, has created tensions and is even ready to pay the price of an eventual destructive war – some experts think – to ensure the survival of the regime. In the domestic arena, destruction of reformists within the government – became the most practical alternative – one of the most serious tenth government plans in the agenda of  its institutions and forces was to weaken the security system and eliminate the protests after the tenth presidential election.

We should admit that for a non violent struggle – which is necessary to achieve secularism- we must abandon our personal ideals

Referring to the executive records of “Mir-Hossein Mousavi”, prime minister of war period and Chairman of Ministers of the mass executions in 80’s decade, or re-viewing Khatami’s (the President of the reform era) opinions as “religious democracy”, are ways to develop a sense of hopelessness in people about the possibility of improving the situation by forces within the regime. And how ironic it sounds that a few years ago, for the security organs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, this method was considered counterrevolutionary- that according to their (counterrevolutionary groups) opinion – their goal was to create a sense of frustration and despair in the people of Iran about the reform.

On the other hand, the exercise undertaken by the security forces of designing and distributing reformists opinions based on theories of democracy and freedom within the Islamic regime with a purpose to destroy reformists images among the people, demonstrates clearly that the security forces are aware of people’s frustrations regarding state religion and the theocratic government but nonetheless they use it as a weapon to destroy political rivals.

What is needed to be considered, is that Iranian society – unlike some theorists point of view – still retains its religious and traditional context and opposition to the theocracy and religious government, does not mean opposition to religion or religious beliefs. So to achieve democracy and freedom, will not be possible without considering the religious context of the majority of Iranian society. In fact, in Iranian society, with the actual cultural conditions, the establishment of liberalism and democracy with its western meaning seems to be hard to achieve. But why the security institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran themselves, do not believe in this religious culture stirred by Iran’s social fabric anymore, is a sign of insecurity due to fear of these organizations in the lack of popular acceptance that we are witnessing every day more than ever.

On the other hand, the exercise undertaken by the security forces of designing and distributing reformists opinions based on theories of democracy and freedom within the Islamic regime with a purpose to destroy reformists images among the people, demonstrates clearly that the security forces are aware of people’s frustrations regarding state religion and the theocratic government

There might be people who considers the theory – that in Iran we should consider the religious nature of the society for any kind of change – to be another program of the Islamic Republic to deflect the opposition struggles, but we should open our eyes and look into the Iranian society as it is otherwise past mistakes will be repeated and the results would be nothing else than dissolution of the national foundation and Iran’s fragmentation.

We should admit that for a non violent struggle – which is necessary to achieve secularism- we must abandon our personal ideals and strengthen common intellectual groups who support civil struggle. This is a path that allows us to reach the shores of secular democracy and freedom from this turbulent ocean without having to eliminate any opposing ideas.

However, by being conscious and aware of the tricks of the tenth government, it should be possible to destroy their project of dividing people and by creating the integration of discrete national commitment, combat their totalitarianism. Only in the light of national unity, those distant horizons of democracy and freedom can be conquered.
